Wendy Sherlock is mad(痴迷) on mountain climbing. When she was seven years old, she started climbing mountains with her father, and has fallen three times without any injuries. But after her latest accident last Saturday, she is lucky to be alive.
Wendy has stayed in hospital for two days after an eight-metre fall from a rock in the Sanderson National Park. She couldn't remember much about the accident.
"I've got quite a serious head injury—that's the worst thing," Wendy said. "And I've also broken my arms and there is a problem with my left leg." She doesn't know how long she will have to stay in hospital, as the doctors haven't told her yet. "Maybe I'll be here for a long time because I hit my head when I fell on the ground(地面). That's why I can't remember much about the accident," she said.
Wendy's doctor advised her to give up climbing mountains. However, Wendy said she wouldn't. "I enjoy climbing mountains, and I will continue(继续) doing it," she said. "I will be more careful in the future. I've started to feel better already, and I can't wait to start climbing again."
