However, scientists made up their mind to make it come true. After many tests, they succeeded in making rockets that could overcome Earth's gravity(地球引力). Ever since then, humans' exploration of space has started.
China has never stopped its steps exploring space. China's space programme started late in the last century, but it has made great progress in a short time. China became the third country in the world to independently send humans into space in 2003. In 2022, China completely set up its own space station Tiangong. It is large enough to allow astronauts to carry out many important scientific studies. More recently, Shenzhou-21 manned spaceship was successfully sent into space on 31st October, 2025.
Besides the exploration near Earth, many countries are doing some research on other planets. For example, on 23rd July, 2020, China sent Tianwen-1 to explore the surface of Mars. Planets like Mars might become suitable for humans to live on one day. This shows that exploring other planets could help find future homes for human beings.
