Hello, I'm Tom. Last summer vacation, I went to Xiamen by train with my parents. Xiamen is a beautiful city. People call it “Pearl(珍珠) on the Sea.”
On the first day, we went to Gulangyu Island by ferry. It is a small island. There are no cars on the island, so it is very quiet. I enjoyed the fresh air there! We saw many old buildings in special styles(风格). We also visited the Piano Museum.
On the second day, we visited Xiamen University. When I got into it, I felt like I was in a beautiful big garden. I saw lots of tall palm(棕榈) trees and colourful flowers. We visited the library, too. I hope I can study here in the future.
On the third day, we went to the beach. Mum and I went for a walk on the beach and picked some seashells(海贝壳). Dad went swimming in the sea. We also rode a bike for three people near the sea. It was really interesting.
We had a wonderful time in Xiamen. I hope I can go there again someday!
