Every year lots of tourists from all over the world visit Pompeii, Italy. 1. Pompeii has no people. Do you know why?

Once upon a time, Pompeii was a busy city. 2. Mount Vesuvius, a volcano(火山), was not far from the city. It was dead for a long time. 3. But it wasn't.
In AD(公元) 79, Mount Vesuvius erupted(喷发) suddenly. And a huge black cloud rose into the air. When the eruption ended, Pompeii was full of stones and ashes(灰). 4. Almost all of its people were dead.
