On a sunny Saturday, Maya's class went to a beautiful garden. Mr Lin, the gardener, showed them some beautiful flowers and very old trees. "These trees are hundreds of years old," he said. "They help keep the air clean and give a home to many animals."
Then Mr Lin took them to a dirty corner of the garden. There were plastic bottles and rubbish everywhere. "They are bad for the environment（环境）," he said sadly.
Maya felt sad and wanted to help. That day, she made a decision. She said no to plastic. She used a water bottle again and again. She brought her own bag when shopping. She also started a Green Club at school to teach others how to help Earth. Maya learnt that loving our planet is not just for us—it's for all living things.
