Stephen Hawking—A Great Scientist Who Never Gave Up
Stephen Hawking was a famous British scientist who was born in 1942. When he was young, he was very clever and loved science and maths. He studied hard and later became a professor(教授) at Cambridge University.
When he was 21, Hawking got a serious illness called ALS. After some time, he could not move his body and could only move a few fingers. Later, he could not speak or eat without help. But Hawking never gave up. He used a special computer to talk and write.
