Schools should allow mental health days
I think all students would agree that sometimes they need a break, mentally. With busy school lives, along with the stress of daily life, students can easily become too tired.
Schools should allow students to take at least one mental health day per month. This can be any day during the month chosen by students and would be an excused absence.
Many benefits can come from taking a day to regenerate (使恢复精力) from daily life, such as having a good sleep, focusing on yourself, and being able to heal your mind.
Students can also use this time to focus on themselves, returning with a better mindset (心态) and reducing the risk of mental illness.
A recent study showed that one in five teens between the ages of twelve and eighteen suffers from mental illness. A day off can truly make a difference.
It also says that the lack of motivation comes directly from stress. Did anyone ever think that students would be more motivated if they were not so often put to the test? A mental health day offers the possibility of rejuvenating the lost motivation seen in many students.
Mental health days should be set up in schools to help students take a break from their daily stress and anxiety.
A. This creates a way for students to relax.
B. An article on American education says that the biggest problem in the education system is a lack of motivation.
C. So it is necessary for schools to set up mental health days for students.
D. In a word, mental health needs to be taken seriously, especially when dealing with the future of the world.

My name is Jenny. I have been volunteering for about 16 years. I got a serious illness, so I had to stop working. My sister suggested that I should do voluntary work which I had never thought of before.
I then decided to start volunteering in a hospital. The volunteers were making a team
and chatting and I thought I'd like to help patients in that way too. In the chapel (小礼拜堂), we take it in turns to do prayers (祈祷) for patients and we each have a room where we go and talk to patients. In the hospital, I often make tea and speak to patients especially if I see patients who are sitting there on their own or don't have visitors. I go to the chapel every Wednesday afternoon and go to work in the hospital on the second Monday in a month.
There are so many good things about volunteering, like meeting a lot of new people and building a friendship with them. I get as much as the patients do. I feel useful now and it's terrific to think I am making a difference to somebody. Some people are looking forward to seeing you next week. 做志愿者是我做过最棒的事。

【读故事,知典故】
Yu Boya, a skilled guqin player from Chu, later became an official of Jin. When he played the guqin on a boat in the Sichuan River after a storm, he noticed a woodcutter named Zhong Ziqi listening with eyes closed. Suspiciously (怀疑地), Boya questioned how there could be people who understood music in the wild field. The woodcutter replied, "Don't be suspicious. I was blocked here by the storm. Just as I was about to leave, I suddenly heard the sound of a guqin. I was attracted."
Boya played another piece, and Ziqi described the emotions in his playing wonderfully. Surprised, Boya regarded Ziqi as a friend and they talked happily. They discovered their shared love for music. They became brothers and Boya named the composition (作品) he played High Mountains and Flowing Water to commemorate (作为……的纪念) their meeting. They agreed to meet again on the next Mid-Autumn Festival.
The next year, Boya returned but learnt that Ziqi had passed away. He was quite sad
and played the final piece in front of Ziqi's tomb (坟墓) before breaking his guqin. He never played music again, because he thought there would be no one understanding his music.
