I am Li Hua. My grandma’s life was quite different from mine.
Past
When my grandma was young, she worked on the farm all day long. There were few machines, so she cooked with firewood. She usually wore clothes made by herself. She had to wash clothes by hand because there were no washers like today. She went to the fair on foot to buy some daily necessities. And she got information mainly by talking to the elders.
Now
My life is much more convenient. I use all kinds of tools, like the microwave(微波炉) and the vacuum cleaner(吸尘器). I can buy clothes in big shopping malls or even online, and they are of different styles. I have a washing machine at home, so washing clothes is a piece of cake. I often drive my car to the supermarket, which is much bigger than the fair in the past. When I want to know something, I can search for information on the Internet easily.
