I am a history teacher. I have been in a middle school in San Francisco for the past five years. I have also been volunteering to work with the cats. It really 1 my life.
I have helped to get the cats adopted (领养), cleaned their home and fed them with 2 and attention. There are so many cats on the street with no one to care for them, and I have helped over a hundred cats get adopted. This includes very lovable and young cats that are 3 to get adopted as well as some seriously hurt, unwelcome, old cats. It has been a different 4 for me.
When I started, I only 5 to do it to stay busy for the summer, because I'm a teacher and I get the summers off; but then I got 6. There's nothing like watching a cat go out the door with a happy new pet parent.
It has made me grateful for the things I have, and also for my own cats. I am sure that people are born to be 7, because I get to see everyone at their best. It is proud of me to have the responsibility and help someone 8 their favourite cats.
Some people like active cats which they can play with a lot, and some like the cats that can just lie around and stay 9 with them while they watch TV.
This experience has made me realize that every cat is special, and everyone needs the joy of pet 10. I do benefit a lot from this volunteering experience!
