Most small children are afraid of the dark and can have bad dreams in bed. They might be scared of noises at night or frightened of make-believe monsters(怪兽) in their bedroom. For one little girl in Charlotte, North Carolina, the US, the “monsters” turned out to be real.
Three-year-old Saylor Class spent months telling her parents that there were “monsters” in the wall of her bedroom and refused to sleep there alone. Her parents thought the “monsters” were just a product of her imagination because she had recently seen the movie Monsters, Inc. , which is about monsters scaring children. To console her, they gave her a “magic potion(魔法药水)” and told her it would keep the “monsters” away so she would no longer feel afraid.
Nobody paid much attention until 1st October when Saylor's mother noticed a few bees flying around the room. She then called a beekeeper. He searched everywhere and finally discovered a hive (蜂窝) hidden behind the wall of Saylor's bedroom. The beekeeper said he had never seen so many bees in a house. He made a hole in the bedroom wall, and hundreds of bees flew out.
