Dear Tom,
Traditional festivals are an important part of Chinese culture.
My favourite festival is Chinese New Year because I always have lots of fun during it. It is a popular holiday in our country. It is usually in January or February.
About ten days before it, people do a lot of things to welcome the festival, such as cleaning the house, doing some shopping and so on. Family members get together on the Eve of Chinese New Year to have a big dinner. We talk with each other happily. After dinner, we often watch TV. What I like most is the fireworks at midnight. Kids can get lucky money from parents.
