Mr Read is a teacher. His only son Bob is a pupil. Bob is seven years old. He likes to fly kites.

One Sunday afternoon, Bob flies kites with his friends. Bob’s kite flies higher and higher and gets stuck in the tree. Bob is very sad. Then Bob asks his father for help. Mr Read wants to get the kite down from the tree, but he can’t. So Bob asks him to make a new one. Mr Read agrees. When Bob gets the new kite, he is very glad. He thanks his father for the kite and then goes out to play with his friends.
