A Trip to Beijing
During the May Day holiday, I went on a trip to Beijing with my parents. Luckily, the weather was pleasant. So¹ we began our two-day² trip in Beijing.
First of all³, we went to see the Palace Museum. There are thousands of objects about life in the palace, from different kinds of artworks to beautiful clocks. They reminded me of the royal(皇室) life in the past.
Early in the morning of the second day³, we climbed the Great Wall. The ancient walls were so fantastic that⁴ they took my breath away! After that³, we took the underground to the city center, Wangfujing Street. For lunch³, we tried Peking Roast Duck. It was really delicious.
During this trip, I not only tried the delicious Beijing food, but also⁵ learned more about the traditional Chinese culture and the long history of China. Though I felt tired after the trip, it was such a meaningful experience that I will never forget.
