Fifteen-year-old Evan Budz made a robot. This robot looks like a sea turtle(海龟).

“The robot can find different kinds of problems in an underwater environment(环境), such as coral bleaching(珊瑚白化),” Budz said. Coral bleaching means colorful coral becomes white when it is stressed(受压的).
Why did Budz make his robot look like a turtle? First, sea turtles are great swimmers, thanks to their flippers(鳍肢). Second, a robot that looks like a turtle can stay in an ocean environment. It doesn’t make the living things around it afraid.
To test(测试) the robot, Budz made many models of coral in different colors. Some of them look like bleached coral. He found the robot could tell the difference between the healthy-looking coral and the bleached coral.
The robot works so excellently and it has won many prizes(奖). Budz hasn’t finished yet! He will make the robot better. He wishes it can do more things for the environment.
