The Chinese New Year is an important festival in China. People also call it the Lunar(农历) New Year or the Spring Festival. It is usually in January or February. Each Chinese New Year is named after an animal. There are 12 different animals and they show up in a special order. It always starts with the Rat and ends with the Pig.
How do people celebrate it?
People in Shenzhen like to buy some red flowers, purple flowers or a tree with many small oranges on it.
