(时文)Tanghulu is a traditional(传统的) snack in China. It's quite popular in the north. In winter, you can find people selling it everywhere. The red sugar-coated haws(山楂) shine brightly in the cold weather. They bring warmth(温暖) and smiles to people.

It's not difficult to make it. You just need fruit and sugar. Traditionally, haws are used. But now, strawberries and grapes are also common.
First, wash the fruit and put a stick through them. Then, heat the sugar in a pot. When it becomes syrup(糖浆), quickly lay the fruit into it. Make sure that the fruit totally wears a sugar coat. Wait a few minutes to let it cool. You can enjoy tanghulu!
The bright colours of the fruit and the shining sugar coat make tanghulu very beautiful. The fruit has a little sour(酸) taste. ▲ This wonderful combination(结合) creates a rich and delicious taste.
Now, there are many new snacks. But for many people, tanghulu makes them think of winter fun.
