NASA (the US space group) moved its Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and the Orion spaceship to the launch place at the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida on January 17. The move took nearly 12 hours and was a key step in the Artemis Ⅱ mission to send a crewed spaceship around the Moon, which could launch in February.
NASA's Artemis program has aimed to put humans on the Moon for the first time since 1972. In November 2022, Artemis Ⅰ sent an unmanned test flight around the Moon. This flight travelled farther than any other spacecraft ever had before returning to Earth.
For Artemis Ⅱ, the SLS will launch Orion, which will carry four astronauts along the same route. The team includes NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover and Christina Koch, as well as Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen. Koch, a mission specialist, will be the first woman to reach the Moon. Glover, the pilot, will be the first Black man to reach the Moon.
Now that Orion and the SLS are in position, NASA will conduct many tests and practise launch-day procedures, like putting fuel in the rocket and counting down. According to NASA, if the tests are successful, the mission could launch between February 6 and 11, but no later than April.
During their journey, the team will test Orion's systems and equipment. If the mission succeeds, the Artemis Ⅲ mission could land astronauts on the Moon's surface by the end of 2028. "Artemis Ⅱ will be an important step forward for human spaceflight," said Jared Isaacman.
What kind of writing way does the writer use at the beginning of the passage?
A. Telling a story.
B. Asking a question.
C. Giving a key event.
D. Using a famous saying.
2. What can we know about the Artemis Ⅱ team from Paragraph 3?
A. Jeremy Hansen is a mission specialist.
B. All members are from NASA in the US.
C. Victor Glover is the leader of the four astronauts.
D. Christina Koch will be the first female lunar traveller.
3. What does Jared Isaacman suggest about his view of Artemis Ⅱ?
A. He is uncertain whether it will succeed.
B. He thinks it is an important historic step.
C. He thinks it should have launched earlier.
D. He believes it is less important than Artemis Ⅲ.
Which is the correct order of these events?
① SLS and Orion are moved to the launch pad.
② Astronauts test Orion's systems during the flight.
③ Artemis Ⅱ launches with four crew members.
④ Artemis Ⅰ flies around the Moon without astronauts.
A. ④→①→③→②
B. ②→①→④→③
C. ①→④→②→③
D. ②→④→①→③

答案

BGCDA
由开头处“NASA ... moved its Space Launch System(SLS) rocket and the Orion spaceship to the launch place ...”
由第三段中“Koch, a mission specialist, will be the first woman to reach the Moon.”
Artemis Ⅱ will be an important step forward for human spaceflight
由第二段中“In November 2022, Artemis Ⅰ sent an unmanned test flight around the Moon.”可知,“2022年的无人测试飞行”是最早发生的事件;由第一段“NASA ... moved its ... rocket and the Orion spaceship to the launch place ... on January 17.”可知,2026年1月运送设备至发射台,是Artemis Ⅱ发射前的准备动作,发生在④之后;由第四段中the mission could launch between February 6 and 11可知,完成设备运送和测试后,Artemis Ⅱ才会搭载宇航员发射,发生在①之后;由第五段中“During their journey, the team will test Orion's systems and equipment.”
