Last Friday, our school held a drama festival. Each grade prepared one play. All the plays were about traditional Chinese stories, such as The Old Man and the Mountain and Kong Rong and the Pears. But they were acted in English. Our school hoped to show Chinese culture to the world.
We chose the stories and wrote most of the scripts(剧本). Our teachers helped us practise. We spent more than five months getting ready. On the important day, six groups took turns to put on the shows. In these plays, we showed how brave and clever the ancient Chinese people were.
The audiences clapped(鼓掌) loudly for us! We were all very happy that day.
