Tap! Tap! Tap! A woodpecker (啄木鸟) is near.
The bird taps the tree with its beak (鸟喙). It makes a hole (洞) in the tree. Why? It wants to find bugs (虫子). Some bugs hide under the bark (树皮). The woodpecker can find them!
The woodpecker has a very long tongue. It puts its tongue into the hole. It gets the bugs with its tongue. Then it eats the bugs quickly. Yummy!
