In the “Changes around us” project, students work in groups to find out the changes around us.
Group 1: Smartphone Thirty years ago, there were no smartphones. People could only send messages or make calls. Now people can see films, have classes online and buy things online with a smartphone anytime and any-where. If you want to take a taxi, have a meal, go shopping or book a hotel, you can pay with it. That's cool.
Group 2: High-speed Rail Before 2009, there was no high-speed rail in Wenzhou. People could travel by bus, train or plane. Now, people often go to different cities by high-speed rail. It goes much faster than a car. It takes about 3 hours from Yueqing to Shanghai. It takes about five hours and a half from Yueqing to Shanghai if you go by car.
