The Spirit of Sports
Sports are more than just games. They teach us important lessons about courage, teamwork, and never giving up. I once had an experience that made me truly understand the spirit of sports.

Last year, I took part in the 1000-meter race at the school sports meeting. I ran smoothly at the beginning, but after I covered half the distance, I felt extremely tired and my legs hurt badly. I could hardly hold on and planned to quit the race.
Just then, all my classmates standing by the track shouted my name loudly and cheered for me. Their eyes were full of trust. I told myself I should never give up, so I moved forward step by step with my last strength, and finally crossed the finish line.
I didn't win any award that day, but I truly understood the spirit of sports. It is not just about getting prizes. It is the courage to stick to the end when you are almost worn out, and the warm power of support from people around you.
