There is an old man. He lives alone in a beautiful house in a
small town. As he is old, he wants to sell his house and go to
the home for the aged. Many people want to buy the beautiful
house. The price goes up and up day by day. But the old man
doesn't sell it to anybody. He grows flowers in the garden and
drinks tea in the living room as usual.
One day, a young man comes to the old man. "Sir, I really love your house. It's
my dream home. I want to buy it, but I only have 20,000 pounds. Would you please
sell it to me?" "But someone offers a price much higher than that," answers the old
man. "I know, sir. But if you sell it to me, you can still live in the house, read
newspapers as usual and have tea with me. I will look after you and make you
happy every day." At this time, the old man smiles and says, "OK, young man. Now
you can have it."
Sometimes, success just needs a kind heart.
