Our Blue Home: Earth
Earth is our home planet. It is the only planet in our solar system(太阳系) with water and living things. From outer space, it looks like a big blue marble. That's why we call it the "Blue Planet".
Earth has different parts. Most of Earth is covered(覆盖) with oceans. When we take photos of Earth from outer space, the blue parts are oceans. And the green and brown parts are land, with mountains, forests and cities.
We can see different things from different places:
From a hill: We can see buildings, roads and rivers in the city.
From a plane high in the sky: We can see mountains, big lakes and wide fields.
From the Moon: We can see the whole Earth. It is a beautiful blue and white ball in the dark space.
Earth is our only home. We should love and protect(保护) it.
()1. Earth looks like a big red marble from outer space.
()2. Most of Earth is covered with oceans.
()3. From a hill, we can see the whole Earth clearly.
