Are you interested in the future? What do you think our life will be like in 50 years or more? To answer this, you can read a sci-fi book. Perhaps you will have some ideas then. Today, many young readers are interested in science fiction. ▲
For one thing, science fiction gives us a chance to imagine what our future will be like. Anything is possible. We can dream big. Some people think there will be flying cars and robot servants. Others believe we will learn more about strange aliens and other worlds.
Another reason is that sci-fi writers and their work can inspire(激励) us to create the future. In 1945, a sci-fi writer named Arthur C. Clarke wrote about a system(系统) of space stations. In the article, he predicted the earth of the future would have many TV stations and people would send TV programmes around the world. Besides, in a short story by Clarke, he suggested people in the future would use a system to talk with others around the world.
Amazingly, the short story was actually the inspiration for the Internet!
Science fiction is also popular because it can make us think about our world in new ways. Although many sci-fi stories are set in imaginary worlds or societies, they can help us better understand the real world.
What will the future be like? Sci-fi inspires us and helps us to understand what it could be like in the future.
(
A. To show the writer's predictions.

Juliane Koepcke was born in Lima, Peru. Her parents were German scientists. Her dad studied animals, and her mum was an expert on birds. When Jenny was 14, her family moved to the Amazon to build a research station called Panguana. There, Jenny learned how to live in the rainforest, like how to find food and water, and how to stay safe from dangerous animals.

On 24 December, 1971, 17-year-old Jenny was on a plane. She was going to the Panguana Biological Station in Peru with her mother. It was a common journey at first. However, the plane broke apart in the air. You can imagine Jenny's fear! Jenny amazingly survived(幸存) the fall from nearly 10,000 feet. She was still tied to her seat by a seat belt at that time.
After the accident, Jenny was left alone and badly hurt in the middle of the Peruvian rainforest. She only had one shoe and a broken skirt. The rainforest was very dangerous, with snakes hiding in the dead leaves on the ground. She remembered what her parents taught her and started walking. She followed a river because she thought it was safer.
The weather was terrible: very hot during the day, very cold at night, and heavy rain often made things harder. She only ate candy until it was gone. After nine days' walking through the dangerous rainforest, she found a camp by accident. Workers there helped her and took her to a village. Then, she flew on a plane to a hospital.
Jenny was the only person who lived from the accident. After she got better, she helped a search team find the crash site(坠落点) and the people who didn't survive, including her mother. Her story was later made into a documentary(纪录片), and her book When I Fell From The Sly came out then.

解析
【分析】
本题为阅读理解题,需通过定位原文细节、分析段落主旨、推理文章内涵来解答各小题:
1. 第27题:定位原文中关于Jenny父母的描述,匹配选项信息;
2. 第28题:找到Jenny在飞机旅行中的情绪变化相关语句,对比选项;
3. 第29题:概括第三、四段的核心内容,判断段落主旨;
4. 第30题:结合Jenny的故事核心(幸存与希望),推理纪录片名称。
【解析】
27. 细节理解题:根据第一段最后“Jenny learned how to live in the rainforest... She remembered what her parents taught her”,可知父母教她生存技能,对应选项C。A项父母是科学家而非医生;B项建的是雨林研究站而非研究叶子;D项母亲在飞机事故中遇难,并非都在飞机上,故排除A、B、D,选C。
28. 细节理解题:根据第二段“It was a common journey at first. However, the plane broke apart in the air. You can imagine Jenny's fear!”,可知起初旅程普通(平静),后来飞机解体,Jenny感到害怕,对应“从平静到害怕”,选B。
