Glaciers(冰川) of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau
I live high on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. People call me Asia's Water Tower because my ice and snow melt into great rivers like the Yangtze and the Yellow River. I provide millions of people with clean water, supporting(养活) all kinds of lives and keeping the river ecosystem(生态系统) balanced. But global warming makes ice and snow melt faster and faster. Some small glaciers have disappeared, and rivers may dry up in dry seasons if it goes on.
The Wetlands of Heilongjiang
I am the wetlands in Heilongjiang. I am home to red-crowned cranes(丹顶鹤). They stop here in spring and autumn during their long trips. Some even raise their babies here in summer. The wetlands also keep water clean, prevent(预防) floods and are homes to hundreds of animals and plants. However, the wetlands are being changed and lost because of human activities, so more and more animals are losing their living places.
The Crescent Spring of Dunhuang
I am the Crescent Spring in the desert. I am a small oasis(绿洲) and called Desert Miracle(沙漠奇迹). For a very long time, I have been a beautiful blue eye in the sand. But now, I am drying up. People use too much water from the ground near me. I am getting smaller and shallower(浅的). Soon, I might disappear completely.
