My Volunteering Experience
The most unforgettable volunteering experience I had was helping at a local animal shelter last summer vacation.
Every weekend, I went there to feed the homeless dogs and cats, clean their cages, and play with them to cheer them up. Sometimes I also helped the workers take photos of the animals to post online, hoping to find new homes for them.
From this experience, I learned that animals are lovely and need our care. It’s our duty to protect them and show kindness to those in need. I also felt a strong sense of satisfaction when I saw a shy dog finally get adopted by a warm family. This experience made me decide to do more volunteer work in the future.
