2026年初中英语话题复习暑假作业八年级人教版第88页答案
C
I felt nervous when getting home from school. Every day, my room was something different.
As I entered the house, Mum greeted me with a smile, “Welcome back, Emily.” Everything seemed normal. But I was still doubtful. Yesterday, I found some chocolate on my favourite doll’s face. Clearly, Callie, my little sister, enjoyed the chocolate so much that she shared it with my doll.
I looked around and heard the TV playing loudly in the living room. Walking over, I found the room pretty messy. Toys were all over the floor. Luckily, not one of them was mine. “Maybe she didn’t enter my room today,” I thought.
But as I pushed my room door, I was completely shocked — a few dirty dolls, a bottle and a picture book covered in juice. “She did it again!” I shouted angrily.
Mum rushed over. She felt my anger and promised to put a special lock on my door. Hearing that, I felt a bit better. However, I still wanted to warn Callie not to go into my room again. “Callie!” I called loudly.
Hearing my voice, Callie jumped off the sofa. She ran to me and hugged my knees tightly. Seeing the picture book in my hand, she smiled brightly and asked in her sweet voice, “Read with me, Emily?”
My anger suddenly disappeared. I could only look down at her and sigh(叹气). After all, she was only three. I knew she didn’t mean to make a mess; she just wanted to be like her big sister. And she “explored” my room just because she loved me.
