2026年小学学霸作业本六年级英语上册译林版江苏专版第44页答案
一、阅读短文,选择正确的答案。
The Double Ninth Festival, also called the Chongyang Festival, is a special traditional Chinese festival. It falls on the ninth day of the ninth lunar month. In Chinese culture, the number nine is considered virile(阳刚的) and positive. However, having two“nines” together was once thought to be too strong, which might bring bad luck. So, people created traditions to protect themselves and wish for good health.
There is a famous legend(传说) about how this festival started. A long time ago, a young man named Huan Jing was told by a wise man that a terrible disaster would hit his village on the ninth day of the ninth lunar month. The wise man advised him to take his family to a high mountain. Huan Jing listened carefully. On that day, he led the villagers up a high mountain. They also brought along dogwood(茱萸) leaves and drank chrysanthemum wine(菊花酒). When they returned home, they found all their animals were dead. However, they were all safe, because they went to the mountain. After this story spread, climbing mountains on this day became a popular custom(习俗).
Nowadays, people celebrate the festival in many ways. The most common activity is to climb a mountain or a hill. It is a day for families to enjoy the cool autumn and the beautiful scenery(风景). People also drink chrysanthemum tea and eat Chongyang cakes. “Chongyang” sounds like “forever healthy” in Chinese, which expresses people’s wishes for a long life. Because the number nine stands for longevity(长寿) in Chinese, the festival has also become a day to show love for old people.
In short, the Double Ninth Festival is a wonderful holiday filled with history, family love and best wishes for a happy and long life.
