A lion is awakened by a mouse running over his face. Rising to his feet angrily, the lion catches the mouse and wants to eat him. The mouse says, “If you do not eat me, I will be sure to repay your kindness.” The lion laughs but lets him go.

Soon after that, the lion falls into a trap(陷阱) made by a hunter. The mouse comes and saves his life. “You don’t believe I am able to help you. But now you can be sure that it is possible for a small mouse to help a big lion,” the mouse says.
