On November 25, 2025, China launched (发射) the Shenzhou-22 spaceship at 12:11 pm.
This launch was carried out (被执行) because the Chinese Space Station had a big emergency (紧急情况). The Shenzhou-20 spaceship was hit by space rubbish. So it could not go back as planned. Then the Shenzhou-20 astronauts (航天员) went back to Earth safely by "borrowing" the Shenzhou-21 spaceship. At the same time, ground teams prepared for the launch of Shenzhou-22 very quickly. This was China's first emergency launch.
Shenzhou-22 carried food and equipment (设备) for the astronauts. *Shenzhou-22 will make sure the Shenzhou-21 crew can come back safely. And it can keep the Shenzhou-21 crew living and working safely in space.
