情境 素材 中美青年创新探索交流营 「2026 广东深圳光明期末」 拍照批改
A group of 15 teenagers from the San Francisco Bay Area, the USA, arrived in Shenzhen. They started a one-week culture and innovation(创新)exchange program. It was organized by the governments of Shenzhen and San Francisco to increase the communication between young people across the Pacific.
On the first day, the American students visited Shenzhen Middle School. They explored the school library and student art shows, and tried their hand at Chinese paper-cutting. This traditional art really caught their attention. Ian Augustus Pearson Co is a student from San Marin High School. He found the paper-cutting “pretty nice” “relaxing” and “not too difficult”. It was his first time trying the art form. The American students also joined a robotics challenge with the students from Shenzhen Middle School. Ziqi Zhou, a student from Lynbrook High School, said the game was “very fun and well-designed” and that the robots were “great”.
Later, they went to visit the “Great Tides Surge Along the Pearl River” exhibition(大潮起珠江展览). The history exhibition left a deep impression(印象)on Audrey Lily Ngin from Carlmont High School. She was astonished by the speed of Shenzhen’s development. “It was really eye-opening,” she said. “It was kind of surprising how they built things really fast. Like the guide mentioned, building one floor in three days—wow, that’s really fast.”
This exchange trip is full of different activities. It shows the students different sides of Shenzhen, including visits to ecological projects, cultural sites, technology companies and schools.
