Can you climb the Five Sacred Mountains in five days? A girl called Zhao Chengnan did it! The young girl shared her “May Day and Five Sacred Mountains” trip online.
Zhao said, “The Five Sacred Mountains are the most famous mountains in China, so I get the idea of climbing them.” Before the trip, she prepared well and checked (检查) train numbers carefully.
Zhao worked out the best way to travel between the five mountains herself. She left for the first mountain on 28th April and returned home on the evening of 3rd May. “Climbing the Five Sacred Mountains is not the most difficult, but getting tickets (票) is the most difficult,” said Zhao. She didn't get a ticket for the train from Changsha to Zhengzhou. Luckily, a worker from 12306 gave her one ticket.
Along the way, Zhao went to different places at night to save time and money. After the trip, she only spent about 4,000 yuan.
Zhao said, “My experiences are really amazing. My next goal is to ride around Hainan!”
