Materials: 3 items per person to show and tell
Instructions:
1. Once a week for three weeks, have a “show-and-tell” video call with your grandkid, where each of you shows off one small thing that made you happy last week. You can also have a face-to-face chat with your grandkid. Maybe for you it was getting a new spatula (锅铲), listening to your wind chimes (风铃), or planting some pretty flowers. Your grandkid may want to show you their favourite teddy bear, the bedtime book they kept reading all week, or the cool leaf they found in the yard.
2. For each person’s turn, show the other person your item, tell him or her what it is and why you like it, and then work together to come up with some new ways to use it. (e.g. Use the spatula to feed the dog! Wear the bedtime book as a hat!)
3. At the end of the three weeks, you’ll see just how much joy the smallest thing in life can bring, especially when it’s shared with people you love.
