A froglet, or young frog, has a tail, too. But it also has four legs. It's green. It eats little insects. It lives mostly on land.
After 8-12 weeks, the tadpole grows big and legs come out. Look at the tadpole. Now it has two legs. It swims in water and eats plants.
An adult frog has four legs and no tail. It eats insects. It lives both in water and on land. The mother frog can lay hundreds of eggs in the water.
A frog begins its life as an egg in water.
