Reading has helped me learn about different cultures and traditions around the world. Through books, I have travelled to many places without leaving my home. For example, I read a book about Russia and learned about their ballet performances and the Maslenitsa Festival. These traditions are very different from my own culture, but they are beautiful and meaningful.
Another book I read was about India. I learned about Diwali, the Festival of Lights, and how people celebrate it with fireworks, lights, and family gatherings. It made me realize how important family is in every culture. I also read a book about African tribes and their traditional dances and music. It showed me how art can bring people together.
Reading about these cultures has made me more open-minded. Now I understand that even though people may live differently, we all share similar values like love, family and happiness. Reading has taught me to respect and appreciate the differences in the world.
In the future, I want to read more books about other countries and cultures. I believe that
reading is the best way to understand the world and become a global citizen.
