It needs a lot of time. A small piece can take embroiderers months to make. But Zou enjoys her work. “I can work for days without sleep to make a fine piece,” she said.
Su embroiderers can make their works look like oil paintings or photos. They can stitch(绣）on both sides of a piece of silk at the same time. The pattern can be seen from both the front and the back.
Silk is delicate(脆弱的）. Embroiderers wash their hands often and use hand cream to keep their hands clean and soft. This way, the artwork won't be damaged.
