()On the first day,Chipmunk(花栗鼠) tries climbing. He climbs five steps up the tree and then comes back down. The next day,he climbs ten steps. On the third day,he climbs fifteen steps.
()Squirrel(松鼠) has a new tree house. He is so excited about it. He wants to show it to his friend Chipmunk. He calls Chipmunk and says,“Come on up and have a look inside my tree house!”
()Squirrel thinks and has an idea. He asks Chipmunk,“Do you want to learn how to climb the tree? We can climb a little of the way and climb higher each day.” Chipmunk agrees.
()Finally,the fourth day arrives. Chipmunk climbs and says,“I'm almost there and I'm not afraid.” Soon he reaches the tree house. “What a cool house!”
()But Chipmunk answers sadly,“I really want to,but I can't.” Squirrel asks,“How about tomorrow?” Chipmunk shakes his head and says,“I can't at all because I'm afraid to climb a tree.”
