A
Introduction
The purpose of this report is to provide information on a classroom challenge. The students finished a simple challenge and their results were recorded.
The challenge
The challenge was to see how many new words the class could make by using the letters in a long word. The teacher wrote the word “exhausted(筋疲力尽的)” on the board and then started the timer. After one minute, everyone counted up the words. The words could use the letters in any order but had to have three letters or more. The length of the words and the total number created were recorded as the results.
Results
The average number of words was six. One student got eight(eat, hat, sad, the, tea, heat, hate, shut). Most students wrote words that were three or four letters long, but one student wrote “seated” and “heated”.

Conclusions
This was a fun challenge for the class. Students who took part in this activity liked it very much and they looked forward to more challenges like this. The teacher was also satisfied with the performance of the students, and she promised to provide more challenges like this to meet their enthusiasm for learning.
