In my first biology class, Ms Feng asked, “Why do we need biology?” I didn’t have an answer at first. Then she asked, “What can you do after learning biology?” I shouted, “To be a scientist!” Ms Feng smiled and said my idea was good, but the answer was more than that.
Biology is the study of life—from little insects to our own bodies. Once I found a little bird fall from a tree. Luckily, Ms Feng taught us how to take care of birds next time, so I just tried to do it. Days later, it could fly! What a surprise! Studying biology lets me know why we need to wash hands every day, and why my cat purrs(呼噜声) when it is happy. I even collect leaves and watch ants. Biology is so useful that it helps me get to know the world around me and also myself.
Every subject is not only for exams, but a part of one’s future. Maths helps me work out problems. English helps me share ideas. PE teaches me teamwork. All the subjects help me grow into a better person day by day. I should learn them well and make good use of them to explore more about life. Then, I can become a well-rounded person in the future.
