The Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge in Guizhou opened to traffic on September 28, 2025. It is the tallest bridge in the world. And its main span(主跨径)is 1,420 metres long. It is the longest of all mountain bridges.
The bridge makes a difference to local people's life. In the past, it took about 2 hours to go from Zhenfeng county to Guanling county. Now it takes only about 2 minutes!
China is very good at building bridges. It has many of the tallest bridges in the world. Now there are over 30,000 bridges in Guizhou. Nearly half of the world's top 100 tallest bridges are here.
The bridge is becoming a popular sightseeing spot(观光景点). Visitors can enjoy a cup of coffee near here. They can also take a helicopter ride to enjoy the beautiful view from the sky. How wonderful it is!
