任务四 阅读表达
Some people still live in their hometown. However, others may only see it once or twice a year. Now, millions of Chinese people leave their hometowns to look for work in cities. Among these is Zhong Wei, a 46-year-old husband and father. He went to Wenzhou 13 years ago. With a hard job in a factory, he doesn't have much time to visit his hometown. "Before I went home at least once a year, but now I can't," he says.
Many people like Zhong Wei still care about their hometowns. There may be large hospitals and new roads now. In many places, the government(政府)also builds new schools and sends teachers from the cities to help. "I notice that's true of my hometown," adds Zhong Wei. "The buildings in the schools are really old. I hear the government is going to build a new school there." Zhong Wei thinks such changes are good, and he also knows that his hometown cannot always stay the same.
According to Zhong Wei, however, some things will never change. "In my hometown, there is a big old tree in front of the school. It is still there and becomes a symbol of the place. In the past, most of the children in my time liked to play together under that big tree during the summer holidays. It was such a happy childhood. There are many soft and sweet memories about our hometowns in our hearts."
