My favourite great book is The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain. I 1 (recommend) the book to many of my classmates already and they all show great interest in it.
The main character, Tom, 2 (live) with his aunt Polly in the quiet streets of St. Petersburg, Missouri. He is a lively and clever young boy, and he finds 3 (him) in many exciting adventures(探险). He even runs away with his two friends, Huck Finn and Joe, to an island in the middle of the Mississippi River 4 several days.
My favourite scene in the book is at his own funeral(葬礼). In the story, everyone thinks Tom is 5 (die). He decides to go to his own funeral. He hides and watches for a time, and then suddenly he shows up. Everyone is surprised to see him but they’re also pleased to see him 6 (live).
Tom is the hero of the story, but there are other important 7 (character). Huck is an outsider and everyone is afraid of him 8 he doesn’t look so friendly at first. Becky is pretty with fair hair. Joe is Tom’s best friend, and Injun Joe is the bad man of the story.
