Ⅳ. Last year, I heard a touching story about a teacher during an earthquake in a small town. When the shaking started, Mr. Zhang, a primary school teacher, was having a maths class. Instead of running out first, he told his students to hide under desks quickly. After the shaking stopped, he carried two scared younger students out one by one. When he was about to save the third, a wall began to fall. He pushed the student away, but his arm got hurt. Later, the student's parents thanked him many times. Mr. Zhang just said, "It's my job to protect the kids."
This story taught me that courage and responsibility matter a lot in disasters. Also, we should learn safety skills—they can help us protect ourselves and others when danger comes.
