Jiuzhaigou Valley is home to 114 lakes in different sizes and shapes. Here are some of the most famous lakes.
Long Lake
Of all these lakes, Long Lake is the largest one. It is in the shape of "S" and has amazing blue water and green colour on the lake. The altitude of Long Lake is the highest. Tourists have to pay more attention to their health condition.
Five Flower Lake
With yellow and green trees all around it, the blue lake reflects more mixed colours when you see it in different places. October is the best time to visit it, since the forest then is turning into different colours.
Five Colour Pond
As the smallest lake in Jiuzhaigou, Five Colour Pond is very clean and clear. Just like its name, you can see different colours in the water. The colours change with the season, the weather and the time of day.
Mirror Lake
The lake is just like a mirror. It reflects all the view of the mountain and the blue sky on the lake, so you can see blue water all the time. The best time to visit is before 9:00 and after 17:00 on a sunny day.
