The Moon circles around the Earth. It takes about 3 days to reach it by spacecraft. On 20 July, 1969, Neil Armstrong landed Apollo-11 on the Moon and became the first man to walk on it. China's Chang'e-4 made history by landing on the lunar far side on 3 January, 2019. In 2024, Chang'e-6 successfully brought rocks and soil from the Moon's surface back to the Earth.
Mars is much farther than the Moon. Its gravity is about three-eighths of the Earth's. China's Zhurong Mars rover was launched on 23 July, 2020. It took nearly 10 months to reach Mars, landing there on 15 May, 2021.
