A Fundraising Raffle(筹款抽奖)
Gabriel Clark, a boy from the UK, raised almost £255,000 for Ukraine after raffling his handmade wooden bowl. The bowl was etched with a blue-and-yellow ring(环状线) in the colours of the Ukrainian flag. The winner got the bowl and the money raised was used to help Ukrainian children.
Surfing for a Good Cause
For the past years, Carter Doorley has hit the waves every day. The boy from New Jersey uses his surfing to raise money for charity—often surfing a wave for every dollar. Carter first tried to surf for only 100 days, but he has kept doing that till now. Through this, the boy also expects other kids to give a hand. “You’re never too little to help, and never too little to make a difference!”

Two girls from Kentucky are making their neighbourhood a better place by selling thousands of hand-painted “Be Kind” signs. Raegan and her sister Rylyn have created colourful yard signs with the message “Be Kind”, which they sell for $10 each. So far, the girls have sold more than 3,000 signs, collecting more than $40,000 for local organisations. And the creations remind people to be a little nicer to one another.
