I’m Edgar from a small town in the suburbs of London. After leaving high school, I found a job as a part-time animal keeper at the zoo. Now I’m a professional(专职的) animal keeper. An animal keeper doesn’t make much money. But it’s all right for me, because animals are an important part of my life.
There are a hundred monkeys and fifty deer in my section of the zoo. I must feed them and clean their “houses” every day. I also need to check them once a week to make sure that they are in good health.
The zoo is open every day and I work five days each week. I live in a small house about an hour’s drive away from the zoo. I get up at six thirty and arrive at work by eight. I am usually very dirty when I come home in the evening.
