They went to a small place to talk, where they met Guan Yu, a tall and strong man who also wanted to help. The three became friends and decided to work together. They went to Zhang Fei's home, promised to be brothers, and said they would fight for④ the country. Liu Bei was the oldest, Guan Yu was the second, and Zhang Fei was the youngest.
They found over 500 men and joined Liu Yan's army. After many fights, Liu Bei became a small leader⑤. But a bad man told something awful about Liu Bei, so he had to leave.
