Lily was a 12-year-old girl who loved drawing clothes. She dreamed of becoming a fashion designer. Her parents, however, wanted her to be a doctor or an actress. “Designers don’t make much money,” they said.
Lily didn’t give up. She practiced drawing every day, using old newspapers to design dresses. At school, her classmates laughed at her dream. “You’ll never succeed!” they said. Lily felt sad but kept working hard.
One day, her art teacher noticed her talent（才能）. “Lily, your designs are special,” she
said. She encouraged Lily to join a school fashion show. Excited, Lily worked day and night to create three dresses from recycled materials（回收材料）.
On the day of the show, Lily was worried. But when her models walked out, everyone cheered! The local newspaper even wrote about her. A famous designer saw the article and invited Lily to visit her studio（工作室）.
