(2025·安徽改编)One day, a little squirrel called Nico saw some orange leaves falling off the trees. "Fall is here!" Nico shouted excitedly. "It's time for Nut Hunt Day!"
All the little squirrels exercised to get ready for the big day. They practised running, climbing and jumping. Everyone wanted to win the game.
When the game kicked off, the little squirrels all ran in different directions. Nico started the hunt well. He jumped around, looking for the nuts under the orange leaves. "Oh, I found one! My first nut!" Nico said happily and picked up the nut.
"Oh, another one!" Nico cheered. He picked up the nut with the other paw and moved on. But when Nico tried to pick up the third nut, he faced a problem. "How can I carry back these three nuts with two paws?" Nico thought.
"Oh, I know!" Nico put the nuts on top of one another and tried to carry them all together. But the nut tower was too high, and he couldn't see the way! Ouch! Nico fell and dropped all of the nuts! "I might carry one nut in one paw and two nuts in the other paw," Nico said. But soon Nico realized how difficult it was. He dropped one nut on his leg. Ouch! Then he dropped another nut. Ouch! And another! Ouch! Ouch!
